Consent Statement

By completing this form, you consent to the processing of the personal data you provide to the organizer of this event – The European Lactation Consultants Alliance (ELACTA) and any third parties bound by contract to ELACTA only for the purpose of the organization of the event.

Any photographs taken during the event may be used by ELACTA for promotional purposes.

 

Event Description

The ELACTA 2026 Conference – “Breastfeeding Insights Shaping the Future” – will take place in Bucharest, Romania, from May 15–16 2026, with Pre-conference on May 14 2026, at the Pullman Hotel Bucharest.

This biennial international conference brings together IBCLCs, lactation specialists, perinatal health professionals, researchers, and aspiring IBCLC candidates.

All speakers are internationally certified lactation consultants, medical specialists, researchers, or invited global experts.

Attendance at ELACTA 2026 supports continuing education, strengthens evidence-based practice, and contributes to professional development in breastfeeding and lactation care.

Registration for this event constitutes a contract between the participant and ELACTA under the terms and conditions below.

 

General Conditions

ELACTA is the organizer of the ELACTA 2026 – Bucharest Conference, held in person.

Duration:

The duration, daily schedule, and session structure of the ELACTA Conference will be specified in the official program published by ELACTA.

Registration Fees and Payment

Registration and reservation of a place are confirmed only upon payment.

Registration will be confirmed once the payment is received by the Organizing Secretariat.

All bank fees and transfer charges shall be borne by the payer. The ticket price must be received in full by the Organizer, free and clear of any bank charges or deductions.

Participation fee: as published on the event website or registration platform

The fee includes access to conference sessions, speaker presentations / handouts (where permitted), certificate of attendance, as well as lunch and coffee breaks for each event day. These prices are for participation under normal conditions.

Early-bird fees: until January 31, 2026

Regular fees: February 1 – March 31, 2026

Late fees: April 1 – April 30, 2026

 

Workshops: for the workshop on the Pre-conference day (May 14, 2026), participants may choose one Morning workshop and one afternoon workshop. There are limited places for each.

 

Payment Options

Participation fees may be paid in EUR (international transactions) or RON (local transactions) equivalent at the daily BNR exchange rate.
Bank transfer details will be provided on the registration platform and invoice.
Billing details must be completed in the designated section.

 

Cancellation Policy

All changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing to office@conferintemedicale.ro.

Because the number of seats is limited and event costs rely on full occupancy, ELACTA applies the following rules:

Refund Conditions

Cancellation by March 31, 2026 – full refund minus €50 administrative fee.
Cancellation between April 1 and April 30, 2026 – 50% refund minus €50 administrative fee.
Cancellation after April 30, 2026 – no refund.
(No refunds for no-shows or late cancellations.)

Medical Exception

If serious health issues prevent participation, a medical certificate must be submitted.
A full refund will be issued minus a €50 administrative fee.

Participant Replacement

A registered participant may be replaced free of charge until April 30, 2026.
The Organizing Secretariat must be notified promptly with full details of the replacement attendee.

Event Cancellation by ELACTA

If ELACTA cancels the event, 100% of the fee will be refunded.

 

Program Changes

ELACTA reserves the right to make short-notice adjustments to the program.
No partial refunds will be issued for schedule changes or canceled sessions.

 

Liability

ELACTA will organize the conference with due diligence and professionalism in accordance with Romanian legislation.
ELACTA’s liability is limited to damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

Participants acknowledge the inherent risks involved in attending an international in-person event and take personal responsibility and mitigation measures (e.g. ensurance etc.)

ELACTA is not liable for theft, loss, breakage, or damage to personal belongings of participants or attendees.

 

Force Majeure

In situations beyond the organizer’s control (e.g., war, strikes, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, travel restrictions), ELACTA may modify or cancel the conference or any related arrangements.

No claims for compensation may be made in such circumstances.

 

Place of Performance and Jurisdiction

For all parties, the exclusive place of performance and jurisdiction is the location of ELACTA’s registered headquarters.
Applicable law: the law of the country in which ELACTA is registered.
